Combining 3 different typologies: Vernacular, International-Style and a new contemporary style, this project showcases an evolution over time, in the changing typology with a persisted function. The structure ultimately displays as an ensemble by harmonically integrating the clashing typology through the connective spatial circulation and the association of form.
The inclusion of the vernacular structure is a reference to the urban houses in Toronto, which sets a baseline for its form. The International-Style structure establishes its dominant facade, and finally, the contemporary structure acts as a natural progression in the transformation which distorts and contrasts the preceding form.
